Huda Lighting in partnership with Immensa Additive Manufacturing, has launched The 3D Printed Luminaire Design Competition, which introduces 3D printing technology to the Lighting and Interior Design industries. The competition which is in line with the ‘Dubai 3D Printing Strategy’ launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, targets established and emerging designers and challenges them to design innovative products for residential and commercial use.

The competition will build on the UAE’s position as a hub for innovation when it comes to 3D printing. Participants in the competition will have their designs reviewed and judged by a panel of distinguished experts from across related industries. The shortlisted contestants will have their designs become a reality and produced using 3D printing in the UAE.

A chance for talented designers (independent, corporate and enthusiasts) across the MENA region to develop a bespoke light fitting which can be 3D printed by Immensa Additive Manufacturing and showcased in one of the leading lighting showrooms in the market, Huda Lighting Dubai Showroom.
